With family roots that run as deep as those of champagne itself, their first known ancestor was a Frenchman named De Watère, recorded in the Domesday Book in England in 1086, their family itself was the inspiration for creating Champagne De Watère.
Champagne has always played an important role in the De Watère family, not merely as a celebratory drink but more so as a reason to draw them together as a family. Everything at Champagne De Watère – from harvesting the grapes to making the cases – is done purely by hand of expert craftsmen.

De Watère was founded in 2011 by Martin A. Konorza to discover the true soul of champagne and to create a completely new way of enjoying champagne. The brand's luxury champagnes are produced exclusively from the Cuvée presage in Premier Cru locations in the Vallée de la Marne, Champagne, France.

The name "De Watère" and its symbol, the gryphon Theodore, are a tribute to Konorza's French ancestors. The family's roots go back further than those of the champagne itself: as the first documented ancestor under the name “De Watère”, a Frenchman can be found in the Domesday Book in England in 1,086. This long history serves as an inspiration to live up to this long tradition with upright and decent action.

Since the beginning in 2011, direct distribution of Champagne De Watère has spread to all over Europe. Due to modern warehouses in Munich, Germany, the average dispatch time for online orders was reduced to a maximum of 24 hours while delivery charges were abandoned entirely over 100€ order value.
